USA EASTERN KARATE CHALLENGE / REGION II CHAMPIONSHIP
Early in the morning on November 6th, a group of WMAF karatekas and parents gathered at the dojo to start the journey to St. Alban's, West Virginia, for the USA Eastern Karate Challenge/Region II Championships. With enough people to fill two vans, our group included several competing for the first time in an out-of-state tournament.  Our karatekas competed in kata, sparring (kumite) and weapons (kobudo), and teammates cheered each other on throughout the day.  In the end, our karatekas brought home eight gold medals, three silver medals and seven bronze medals - oustanding results!!
